DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
Designs and defines system architecture for new or existing computer systems- Maintains an organization's computer systems' workflows and is responsible for the upkeep, configuration, and reliable operation of computer systems, including fixing network issues along with updating equipment and software.
Provide technical support in the management of networks, software, hardware, configurations, and architectures.
Troubleshoots moderately complex system hardware and software issues.
Trains end users on the proper use of hardware and software.
Performs software installations and upgrades to operating systems and layered software packages.
Monitors and tunes systems to achieve optimum performance levels.
Ensures workstation/server data integrity by implementing standard software and hardware solutions.
Ensure data/media recoverability by following a schedule of system backups and database archive operations.
Conducts hardware and software audits of workstations and servers to ensure compliance with established standards, policies, and configuration guidelines.
Ensures that performance and security of computers meet the needs of network users.
May evaluate existing systems and assist with planning long-term strategies.
May coach and provide guidance to less-experienced professionals.
REQUIREMENTS & EXPERIENCE
TS/SCI CLEARANCE WITH FS POLY REQUIRED
IAT Level 2 - CompTIA Security+ CE
Experience with architecting and engineering enterprise level solutions.
Education:
HS/GED w/19 years of experience
Bachelors w/14 years of experience
CompTIA Security+ CE
Mandatory Skills:
Experience with cloud platforms (e.g., AWS, Azure, Google Cloud).
Experience with containerization and orchestration tools (e.g., Docker, Kubernetes).
Experience with monitoring tools and performance tuning.
Familiarity with CI/CD pipelines and DevOps practices.
Familiarity with database management systems (e.g., MySQL, PostgreSQL).
Knowledge of configuration management tools (e.g., Ansible, Puppet, Chef).
Proficiency in scripting languages (e.g., Bash, Python, PowerShell).
Relevant certifications such as AWS Certified SysOps Administrator, Red Hat System Administrator
(RHSA), Microsoft Certified: Azure Administrator Associate.
Strong understanding of network protocols, DNS, SSL/TLS, and web security practices
Salary:
The likely salary range is up to $145K. This is not, however, a guarantee of compensation or salary. Rather, salary will be set based on experience, geographic location and possibly contractual requirements and could fall outside of this range.
