System Engineer, Sr IV

Position Details

LOCATION: Ft. Meade, MD | DAY SHIFT: Monday thru Friday

 

DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Responsible for understanding the needs of the customers and the realities of commercially available IT products, and creating requirements that will allow implementation by the development team.

  • Develop and maintains code and associated test scripts to meet defined requirements.

  • Support the planning of systems and development deployments as well as responsible for meeting software compliance standards.

  • Evaluate the interface between hardware and software, operational requirements and the characteristics of an overall system.

  • Establish and documents system parameters and formats, ensuring the hardware and software systems compatibility and coordinating and/or modifying systems parameters in terms of existing and projected computer capacity and capabilities.

  • Revise existing systems, testing functionality of the system to correct deficiencies and maintain more effective data handling, data integrity, conversion, input requirements, and storage.

  • Provide the documentation, testing and maintenance of system updates, modifications and configurations.

  • Participates in analysis, design, and new construction of next generation IT systems.

  • Independently analyze, and recommend alternatives for elements of project's technical design.




REQUIREMENTS & EXPERIENCE

DESIRED SKILLS:

  • Experience with Privilege Access Management (PAM), Thycotic, Sailpoint any PAM Solution including visualization concepts, understands architecture and has an understanding of JavaScript, XML, and familiarity with AWS.


  • Experience as a System Engineer on one or more IT systems.


WHAT YOU'll NEED:

  • Must currently have and be able to maintain a TS/SCI Clearance with Poly.

  • Experience conducting an evaluation to determine its suitability for project implementation.

  • Ability to identify and fixing problems within existing system, design and implementation of new systems, and enhancement of existing systems.

  • Skills utilizing Telecommunication (TCP/IP, OIS/CMIP/X25) operating systems (Windows, UNIX,LINUX), database/DBMS (oracle, access, sybase) and applications (Tivoli, Peoplesoft).

  • Must have one of the following DoD approved certifications is necessary to meet the category/level IAT-2 (DoD 8570) requirement for this position: Security+, GSEC, SSCP, CCNA-Security, CISA, CISSP (or Associate), CASP, GCIH, or GCED.

  • Required Education and Experience: High School/GED (+12) years of relevant experience. AD (+10) years of relevant experience. BA/BS (+7) years of relevant experience. Master's (+2) years of relevant experience or PHD (+1) years of relevant experience.
